As part of the real estate internship and competition program sponsored by luxury real estate giants, Lekki Gardens called “The Mavericks”, the 40 interns on Friday played host to events planning guru, Mr Mide Akinlaja as one of the “inspire me” person of the week.
The “inspire me” series is a weekly program designed to bring entrepreneurs who had successfully navigated the murky waters of entrepreneurship to motivate the budding entrepreneurs to success as they go on in their business odyssey.

In his delivery titled Marketing Essentials presented with experiential aplomb and candor, the Executive Producer of the highly successful business Reality TV show, the Next Titans advised the young entrepreneurs saying; ”Nothing happens in this life until you make it happen”.
In the one-hour long program laced with witty anecdotes and replete with real life stories, Akinlaja stated being strategic, being extraordinary, taking responsibility, possibility, imagination, perseverance and prayer as the major ingredients needed to succeed in entrepreneurship.
Stressing the importance of perseverance, he quoted former American President Calvin Coolidge in these words: “Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan Press On! Has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race”
Mr Mide as he is fondly called also recommended a habit of prayer as a very potent tool for success that no business school teaches but can be found handy when all that is needed to be done had been done yet with no results.
With the renewed drive, energy and passion of these 40 Mavericks, it is no doubt that they will be the solution the nation seeks in solving many of our social problems through their various entrepreneurial endeavor especially in Real Estate.
